THE GREEN AND SIMPLE CONSERVATION PLAN

Improve your property, your health and our world:
Practice Home Conservation!!

You CAN make a difference.  You can make yourself and our
environment healthier. It saves you money and saves the
Earth - it is called “Conservation” and it is easy to do!

We all must do our little part to make a big difference for the
overall health of the Earth. When we hear the media expound on
conservation, it sounds like an enormous undertaking, much
larger than an individual can perceive. Yet the reality is it only
takes a small effort to make a significant difference
for our environment. Look at your small world – the
one you are in charge of - it is quite possible for you to “do your
part” on a smaller ecological scale while saving money for
your household at the same time!

The Green and Simple Conservation Plan Condensed:

•        Recycle! Recycling or reusing trash prevents
increased landfill usage and community water problems.

•        Buy recycled products to promote more recycling.

•        Conserve water with of rain barrels, rain gardens,
reduced usage, mulching and improved watering systems.

•        Compost natural waste instead of throwing it away.

•        Use perennials and native plantings in your yard to
conserve water, soil, and attract beneficial wildlife.

•        Buy at local farmers’ markets and participate in food
co-ops that purchase locally grown produce..

•        Use non-chemical solutions on your property.

•        Save money by reducing natural resource usage such
as electric and gas utilities in your home.

•        Use Compact Fluorescent Light (CFL) bulbs.

•        Promote stewardship of the land by removing
invasive species, chemical waste dumps, and garbage.

•        Participate in community outreach programs for
conservation.

Conserving our natural resources such as water, energy and
nature can be applied to your own home and property by doing
some or all of the above ideas.  You SAVE MONEY and
SAVE THE EARTH!  It's a win-win deal!!

Remember - - a healthy world and a healthy YOU!!
