BUILDING A GREEN COMMUNITY PLAN

Building community is important!
For your own personal emotional growth and for the
community you live in!

One of the most important items on the Get Your Green On
Health Philosophy
is the Building A Green Community Plan.
Volunteering and working with others in the community is an
essential way to stay connected with community, strengthen your
emotional health and foster a positive mental attitude.

Community building allows you to invest in environmental health
and beauty by improving your neighborhood, building relationships
, and evangelizing all levels of health and caring relationships.  It
also improves your health by getting you off that couch and out
into the community where you can share and build unique
friendships which can last a lifetime.
It's good for everyone!!

One of the easiest ways to grow your community is to form your
own organization or join an existing one.
I prefer to join environmental organizations because I can then
combine my outdoor health plan with groups that are already
centered on outdoor activities.

On this page you'll see several photos of a few groups I have
become involved with from my local community. It brings me a lot
of satisfaction to think that my effort combines with others to really
help the community and environment. I have also gained friends
who have enriched my life and made
me feel a part of something special - it has rewarded me
on a deeply emotional level.

You can feel this way too. I encourage you to volunteer and build
a network of supportive friends in your community.

The result will be A Healthy World and A Healthy You!
Any type or age of person can come to be
a friend and contributor to your community -
to help, to share and to grow together.
